At Maseno University, information and communication technologies are now the driving force behind creative teaching, learning, and research. Maseno University is now recognized as a leader in the use and application of technology for survival and operational efficiency. Maseno University's teaching and learning processes have undergone a rapid transformation thanks to the ICT Center, which has helped the institution adapt to the fast-moving technological changes that have seen businesses shift from traditional face-to-face interactions and paper-based modes of communication to the modern use of web conferencing solutions for meetings and the use of automated services for efficient communication, decision-making, and routine processes like online shopping.

As a result, business operations are now more efficient, and services are being delivered to the university community and other interested parties more effectively, in line with the ICT Center's mission to be: The ICT Center is proud of its talented workforce, which possesses a diverse range of ICT experience in fields including project management, database and system administration, cloud service provision, ICT security, system development, hardware maintenance and support engineers, and communication service providers. We have remodeled the data center into a modern Tier 3 educational data center that offers cloud and colocation services to a number of institutions and projects. Thanks to the dedication and tenacity of this team, Maseno University has been able to deploy turnkey solutions with a very quick turnaround.

For instructors and students in computing and engineering who need hands-on training in data center technologies, we see the Educational Data Center as a center of excellence. The university's primary activities of teaching and learning, research, and community service will continue to be managed in large part by the ICT Center and its services.
